Collapsible hood for Xenon 50mm f1.5, XIOOM. This type uses a set screw to secure the hood, a construction also seen on the Summitar hood SOOPD and the Summicron hood SOOFM.

While its appearance when mounted is rather imposing, the effectiveness as a hood is outstanding.

Leitz code name is XIOOM. The code closely resembles XOOIM, the hood for the first Summilux 50mm f1.4, yet it conveys the lineage connecting back to the Xenon. A rare hood.

There are some light signs of use such as minor scuffs, but no noticeable damage, and considering its production period, it is in quite good condition. Mounting has been confirmed on the Leica Xenon. Although the fit is slightly tight, it attaches securely to the lens. Also suitable for a collection.
