W-Nikkor 3.5cm f3.5, a wide-angle lens made by Nippon Kogaku for the Nikon S series, introduced in 1948. This is the later version with an aluminum body finished in black paint. The optical construction is a Tessar-type design with 4 elements in 3 groups. Distance scale in feet. Lightweight at approximately 99g. Filter size is 43mm.
The distinctive funnel-shaped design eliminates the need for a hood, which is one of the appealing features of wide-angle lenses for the Nikon RF series. It also looks excellent when mounted on a camera, with a truly attractive design.
Although slightly on the slower side, it is lightweight and easy to handle, making it a great choice for daytime snapshot photography.

Minor signs of wear can be seen, but overall there is little sense of use, and the exterior remains in very clean condition. The semi-gloss paint is well preserved, giving it a neat and refined appearance.
All functions operate properly. The aperture ring has a pleasant click feel, and the focusing ring turns smoothly and evenly. Focus has been checked on our Nikon S test body, and rangefinder coupling is accurate.
The glass was cleaned in 2026. There is slight deterioration of the coating on an inner element, but it has virtually no effect on actual shooting. No cleaning marks or haze are present, and the glass is clear.
Comes with the original front cap and case.
