One-piece construction, unmarked, no ribbed base, no locking screw.

An unmarked hood for the Elmar 50mm f3.5.

This is the type that followed the earliest rectangular hood for the Leica Model A, and is an early version of the FISON without a locking screw. Brass with black paint finish.

It belongs to the one-piece construction era that continued on from the rectangular type, before the ribbed base was introduced.

Please note that, for this type, the section that slips over the lens is slightly longer than usual. Actual weight is approximately 11.7g.

There is some paint loss from use, but for an early FISON, it remains in very good cosmetic condition. Much of the original paint still remains throughout.

Mounting has been checked on an A36 Elmar. At present, the fit is firm and rather tight.
This is the type that is fitted by adjusting the tabs. Please take care not to damage the tabs when making adjustments.

Also well suited for a collection. Rare item.
