※About rarity
Leica MDa. Product code 10103. Manufactured in 1969. The model, derived from the Leica M4, omits the viewfinder, rangefinder, self-timer, and frame selector. The film counter is of the automatic reset type. Initially, it was developed for record-keeping and academic research purposes, but nowadays, it's good to use with the Visoflex and Visolex lenses for shooting. It's a versatile camera that can be paired with wide-angle lenses like the Super-Angulon 21mm, Elmarit 28mm, and Summaron 35mm, along with individual viewfinders, allowing for a wide range of photography styles from street snaps to more structured compositions. Top cover and bottom plate show some very light linear abrasions. Minor indentations near the sync contact on the rear of the top cover, visible only under certain lighting conditions. Overall, the appearance is quite clean, and it can be described as excellent or mint condition without hesitation. The vulcanite covering is all original and still provides a smooth grip. Serviced in March 2024 and the shutter curtains were replaced. All functions are operational, and the operation of the dials is smooth. The camera has been refreshed, and it's ready to attach your favorite lens and viewfinder and enjoy shooting. It comes with the original box, although the top of the box does not have padding.
