Leica M2 Black Paint, late model. Shipped in May 1962. Everything, including the paint, various parts, and vulcanite, is all original. However, it seems the previous owner cherished it deeply and polished up. Overall, it's a Leica M2BP in quite good condition. Rare item. Some areas where the black paint has chipped off along the edges, but there are no scratches or dents. It appears to have been polished quite a bit in the past, giving the entire body a glossy appearance. This glossiness is expected to mellow over time. The vulcanite shows no signs of chipping and remains in its original condition. Serviced in February 2024. The winding lever, dials, and knobs all operate smoothly, and the shutter works perfectly. There is slight glass degradation on the objective side of the viewfinder glass due to aging, but it does not affect visibility. This Leica M2 Paint is suitable for practical use.
