Telephoto Lens for Nikon S-Mount: Nikkor-Q 135mm f3.5
Released in 1950, this lens bears the serial number 282xxx. The distance scale is marked in both meters and feet, with a minimum focusing distance of 1.5 meters. It features an optical design consisting of 4 elements in 3 groups and includes a built-in tripod mount for added stability. The filter thread is a 43mm screw-in type.
The Nikkor-Q 135mm lens is known for its wide range of variations when examined closely. This particular example is a later model with a black barrel. It comes with the original hood, front cap, and case.
The lens barrel shows minor scuffs on the plated area near the front, and there is slight paint loss on the edge of the tripod mount base. However, the overall appearance is very clean with minimal signs of use.
The hood has a few light scuffs, but no noticeable scratches or dents.
The aperture and focusing helicoid operate smoothly. Rangefinder coupling has been tested with a focusing screen and is in good working order.
The lens glass is clear, with the central area free from haze. While there is some coating deterioration around the edges of an internal element, it should not affect image quality. Perfect for practical use.
