Nikkor Q·C 135mm f3.5, a later version that transitioned from the chrome to black barrel, early type of the later model. A telephoto lens manufactured by Nippon Kogaku for the Nikon S series.
The lens construction consists of 4 elements in 3 groups. The lens alone weighs approximately 400g.
This is the later model, but it comes with a black hood, which is thought to be a correct set for the era, as it shares the same design as the earlier model. The type with black coating extending to the lower part of the helicoid is somewhat rare.
The exterior shows very slight signs of use, with no fading of the indicator markings, and the plating and paint are in beautiful condition.
In October 2024, maintenance was performed, including helicoid regreasing, aperture blade cleaning, and glass cleaning.
When held up to strong light, such as an LED, slight haze can be seen around the edges of the inner element, but this should have little to no effect on actual images. There are no noticeable wipe marks or other defects.
The original hood and hood cap are included. The hood and hood cap show slightly more signs of use than the lens body itself.
