Contax IIa and IIIa Finder Mask, model 563/03. Post-war Zeiss manufacture. This mask is designed to be inserted between the viewfinder's eyepiece and the front of the viewfinder on the right side of the camera body. It features a 135mm frame inside the 85mm frame, which can be switched using the side knob.
The eyepiece side includes a parallax correction ring, which should be adjusted according to the shooting distance.
While the viewfinder image may be slightly darker, it does not interfere with the rangefinder’s double image. Its design does not require the use of the accessory shoe, allowing simultaneous use with exposure meters or other accessories on the IIa. Unlike the pre-war 85/135mm viewfinders, this mask can also be used without issues on the IIIa.
There are minor scratches visible, but overall, it is in very good condition with minimal signs of use. The switching lever operates smoothly, and the parallax correction ring functions well. The price includes tax and domestic shipping.
