Nikkor-P.C 105mm f2.5 in Leica screw mount. This is the later version without the hood-mounting pins. The lens design is a 3-group, 5-element Sonnar type.
This reasonably priced telephoto lens has long been recognized for its impressive image quality. The distance scale is in feet. Released in 1954, around 22,000 units were produced across various mounts (Nikon S, Contax), of which approximately 6,000 were for Leica.
This particular piece has a rare engraving error where NIKKOR is marked as NIKKOP. A truly rare Nikkor!
Many 105mm lenses have been heavily used over time, but this particular piece shows hardly any signs of use and maintains a beautiful exterior.
The handling is smooth, with just a single faint 3mm cleaning mark on the front element; otherwise, there are no notable scratches or haze, and the glass is stunningly clear, matching the pristine appearance of the lens. We’ve checked the rangefinder coupling with our Leica M10-P, and the focus is spot-on. The helicoid has a slightly firm feel (we can offer additional paid servicing upon request).
Comes with the original front cap and leather case.
