※About rarity
Serial number 1,330,000. Manufactured in 1973/74. The Leica CL, a compact camera born from the collaboration between Leitz and Minolta. It is equipped with the standard lens, the Summicron-C 40mm F2, which makes for a compact and excellent combination. The CL features a 40mm finder frame, a vertical-travel shutter, and a mechanism different from other Leica M models. The viewfinder also includes frames for 50mm and 90mm, packing necessary functions into a compact body. It's a remarkable camera whose quality you'll deeply appreciate with use. Our staff have long cherished this compact masterpiece. The camera has been overhauled. You can use it with confidence. There are very minor signs of black chrome wear on the edges of the bottom cover and top cover, but considering the Leica CL is often heavily used, this one is in quite good condition. It underwent an overhaul in April 2024, including repairs to the CL's weak point—the winding mechanism—and adjustments to the light meter. It functions smoothly, the meter is working well, and the viewfinder is clear. This camera is great for practical use!
