Summilux 50mm f1.4, product code SOOME/11114. Manufactured in 1966. Second version, early model. This model inherits most features from the first-generation chrome barrel. 7 elements in 5 groups. It underwent design changes from the first generation, adds excellent sharpness near wide open. It’s an all-around versatile lens. The filtersize is E43. Compatible with XOOIM, 12521G, and 12586 hoods. Although there’s minor wear on the hood mount area, the overall appearance is very clean. Fully serviced in 2024. The bot helicoid and apature rings are in very smooth operation. Well coupled with rangefinder. The lens glass is very clean, free from scratches or haze. Finding such well-preserved example in both appearance and glass quality has become increasingly challenging in recent years. Highly recommended for those seeking a beautiful piece!
