HFOOK. A shoe-mounted rangefinder, also known as the FOKOS with foot. This model combines the Leitz standalone rangefinder FOKOS with the movable shoe FOKAB. Finished in beautiful satin chrome. The dial is marked in meters. Base length is 75mm. This example features finely graduated distance markings. The minimum focusing distance is 0.75m. It is designed to be mounted on the hot shoe.

When operating the shutter dial, the rangefinder body can be rotated out of the way. The action is precise and full of that distinctive Leitz mechanical ingenuity. Additionally, by removing the shoe section, it can also be mounted vertically, just like the earlier FODIS and FOKOS rangefinders.

A beautifully finished accessory with the precision and elegance typical of Leitz. Highly recommended as a companion for chrome-bodied rangefinder-less Leica models such as the Ic, If, and Ig.

There is a very faint scuff at one edge on the top of the rangefinder body, but otherwise shows almost no signs of use, with beautifully bright chrome plating and an exceptionally clean appearance.
Overhauled in 2026, including replacement of the half mirror. The glass is crystal clear, and the double image is impressively sharp and well-defined. The dial operates with a very satisfying feel.
