※About rarity

The "View Arco" reflex finder, released in 1953 for the Arco 35, allows for close-up shooting down to 35 cm and provides depth-of-field preview based on aperture settings, making it a fun accessory. It is intricately designed to be parallax-corrected and synchronized with the camera's focusing mechanism. The accessory adds a unique, mechanical look when mounted on the camera body.

The finder lens is the same as the Arco 35's shooting lens, a Viewcorina 50mm f2.8 (3 elements in 5 groups), providing an image similar to what is seen during actual shooting. It allows for distance-measuring shots even when the reflex finder is mounted, making it possible to switch between reflex and rangefinder shooting.

Included are a Japanese instruction manual detailing the attachment and adjustment methods for the Arco 35, a shutter release, and an adapter for mounting the View Arco on the Arco 35 Automatt D, which lacks a connecting screw hole on the lens plate.

The shoe mounting area shows slight signs of attachment marks, and there is one scratch on the side of the loupe storage cover, but otherwise, there are no notable marks or prominent scratches. Overall, the item is in very good cosmetic condition.

As of August 2024, the lens and finder have been cleaned. There is minor coating wear on the central element, but considering the years since its release, the overall condition remains excellent.
