Summaron 35mm f3.5 (M3)
Summaron 35mm f3.5 with Goggles (for Leica M3). Manufactured by Leitz with product code SOONC-MW. Serial number 1.56 million, made in 1958. Marked in feet. The minimum focusing distance is 2.4 feet. The goggles are detachable.
A splendid Summaron with goggles, suitable for use not only with the M3 but also with all Leica M-series cameras, including digital models.
Near the base of the lens barrel's minus screw and around the circular and square windows on the body side of the goggles, there are small abrasions, but overall, both the chrome parts and the wrinkle-painted parts are in very good condition. There are hardly any mounting marks on the mount.
In April 2024, the lens, including the goggles, underwent a full service, including focus adjustment. Thanks to careful maintenance, the aperture and helicoid operation feel smooth and well-tuned. The rangefinder coupling works perfectly.
There are no signs of haze or scratches on the viewfinder or glass, making them very clean. Genuine front and rear caps, a red-lettered UVa filter, and a slightly worn but matching serial number original box are included. Good for collection as well.
