Olympus Pen FT — a half-frame SLR released in 1966. It’s an upgraded version of the Olympus Pen F, now featuring a built-in TTL light meter. Other improvements include the addition of a self-timer and a switch to single-stroke film advance.
With a 36-exposure roll of film, you can shoot 72 frames. While shooting hundreds of images digitally happens in the blink of an eye, many people say that for some reason, it takes forever to finish 72 frames on film. That said, with the rising cost of film these days, this well-equipped half-frame SLR is a reliable companion for any film lover.
The Pen series is often sold in as-is condition, but this particular unit has been fully serviced—ready to use with confidence.
There are a few very light scuffs on the chrome-plated areas and a small scratch on the lower center of the back cover. The eyepiece has a discreetly repaired chip, but overall, the camera maintains a clean and well-kept appearance.
The lens shows some minor paint loss on the knurled grip area, but the barrel remains quite clean and is well matched to the body.
The camera body was overhauled in 2025, including replacement of the light seals. It is in good working condition, and the light meter functions properly. The distinctive shutter sound of the Pen series has a pleasant, satisfying tone.
The lens shows slight haze around the edge of the inner elements, but it should have little to no noticeable effect on actual image quality.
Comes with the original lens cap, filter, strap, and case.
