Camera & Watch Bar in Yurakucho, produced and manufactured by Okadaya, lens hood for the standard lens of the British Leica copy Reid, the Taylor-Hobson 2 inch f2. 36mm slip-on type. Made in Japan. Shu0003. Aluminum body with black anodized finish. A hood released more than 20 years ago in a limited run of 50 pieces.

It is said to be a dead copy of the original hood for the Reid, though the genuine article is so rare that one almost never has the chance to see it. Even collectors in the UK rarely possess one. Production numbers of this hood were also extremely low, and it has already become something seldom seen on the market.

The build and finish are exceptionally fine, with superb craftsmanship. In addition to the Taylor-Hobson Anastigmat 2 inch f2, it can also be used with lenses such as the Leitz Elmar, Dallmeyer, and Hugo Meyer. A truly rare hood of the 21st century, with a touch of humor.

There are small marks and scuffs from use, but it is still in very good condition. Mounting has also been confirmed on A36 lenses such as the Elmar.
