A rare and rather curious Leitz adapter that allows Minolta MD-mount lenses to be mounted on Leica M cameras. The Leitz product code is 22233. Made in Germany.
Leitz and Minolta had a business partnership from 1971 through the 1990s, so the existence of an adapter like this is perhaps not so surprising. As for its practicality, however, that is another question.
With a film Leica M, focusing must be done by estimating the distance. With a modern digital Leica M, however, you can enjoy using these lenses with Live View.
In addition to this rather scarce adapter, the set includes two genuine Minolta adapters: one for adapting M42 Praktica-mount lenses to the MD mount, and another for adapting Exakta-mount lenses to the MD mount.
With this set, Minolta MD, M42, and Exakta lenses can all be mounted on a Leica M camera. A fascinating set for those who would like to enjoy a wide variety of lenses on their Leica.
There are almost no signs of use. Only slight mounting marks can be seen on the plated area of the Minolta MD mount side.
The two genuine Minolta mount adapters also show little sign of use and are in good cosmetic condition.
The original box for the 22233 is included.
